About
Persian song meets Western electronics, built for the dance floor.
UROISH is the music of Bahareh Razekh: vocalist, songwriter and performer, born in Tehran and based in Stockholm. Her songs move between Farsi and English, between belonging and exile, between grief and the pulse of the club.
The project is co-produced with Olof Dreijer of The Knife and Fever Ray. In 2024 UROISH supported Fever Ray on their European tour, including the 5,000-capacity Eventim Apollo in London.

“It was plain to see what drew Olof Dreijer to co-produce and Fever Ray to invite her on tour.”
“As thrilling as it is spellbinding. There is no other artist in Sweden who sounds like this.”
“It sounds as if Googoosh and The Knife had a love child.”
“Yeki Bood has a shimmer that recalls the golden age of Ofra Haza.”
“Fierce falsetto and chanting vocals over persistent electronic instrumentals create a powerful wave of sound.”
“Persian pop and electronic beats meet Iranian poetry and rhythm. A blend that breathes the Middle East as much as North Africa and Berlin’s club scene.”
“The sound felt equally at home in the 5,000-capacity Eventim Apollo as in a haze-filled nightclub.”
